OUR STORY

KRC Woollens is a dedicated rehabilitation initiative of the Kumaon Regimental Centre, established to honour the sacrifices of the brave soldiers of the Kumaon Regiment by empowering their families. The project provides meaningful employment and long-term sustenance to war widows and dependents, ensuring they receive dignified support and opportunities to rebuild their lives. Beyond serving the regimental fraternity, KRC Woollens has become a vital pillar of welfare for the local community, uplifting artisans and traditional craftsmen by giving them a reliable platform to showcase their skills.

Through its expanding operations, the project indirectly supports over 400 individuals, creating livelihood avenues for local workers, small vendors, and associated cottage-industry partners. KRC Woollens stands as a model of compassion, resilience, and self-reliance—preserving heritage, promoting economic stability, and nurturing a sense of collective responsibility. It continues to embody the enduring spirit of the Kumaon Regiment: courage, commitment, and care for its extended family.
